A three-year-old boy was severely injured after being attacked by a stray bull in the Shivaji Colony area of Abu Road, Sirohi district. The victim, identified as Nishant, is the son of BJP District Secretary Durgesh Rao. The incident, which occurred during the evening hours, has sparked widespread anger among local residents regarding the administrative failure to control the growing menace of stray cattle. Following the attack, a tense atmosphere has gripped the entire residential neighborhood, with locals demanding immediate municipal accountability.
Terrifying Attack Caught Unprepared
The unfortunate event took place on September 11 at approximately 6:30 PM. Young Nishant was playing with other children in the vicinity of his home when a stray bull suddenly charged into the street. Before the children or nearby adults could react to the animal's sudden presence, the aggressive bull targeted the three-year-old. It lifted him up using its sharp horns and threw him violently onto the ground. The horrifying sight immediately caused chaos and panic among the onlookers who scrambled to rescue the toddler.
Mother Injured in Rescue Attempt
Hearing the commotion, Durgesh Rao's wife rushed outside to save her son. In her desperate attempt to shield the child from further harm, she was also struck by the raging bull and sustained injuries. Seeing the gravity of the situation, neighboring residents demonstrated exemplary courage. Armed with sticks and rods, they gathered quickly and managed to chase the violent animal away from the spot, preventing what could have been a fatal tragedy. He submitted a formal memorandum to the Executive Officer (EO) of the Abu Road Municipality, demanding immediate corrective measures. The memorandum insists that the administration launch a comprehensive drive to round up all stray animals roaming the city streets and relocate them to safe shelters or gaushalas. Furthermore, the petition demands strict legal action against cattle owners who deliberately let their livestock loose on public roads.
