A devastating industrial accident occurred on Saturday in the Bhiwadi industrial area of Khairthal-Tijara district in Rajasthan, resulting in the death of a worker. The incident took place at the premises of Rashi Trading Company during the routine loading and unloading of iron scrap. A massive wall, measuring approximately 20 feet in height at the back of the company premises, suddenly collapsed and buried the workers under its debris. Police officials rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information and have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
Victims of the Collapse
The deceased worker has been identified as Arvind, a resident of Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh. He was performing his duties at the site when the heavy wall came crashing down, giving him no time to escape. Due to the severe impact of the falling debris, Arvind died on the spot. Another worker, identified as Mukesh Kumar, was also trapped under the rubble and sustained critical injuries. Mukesh was immediately rescued from the debris and rushed to a private hospital in Bhiwadi, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment in a serious condition.
Industrial Activity at the Site
The tragic event unfolded while laborers were busy managing scrap metal at Rashi Trading Company. According to officials, the tasks of loading and unloading iron scrap were actively underway when the 20-foot tall boundary wall suddenly gave way. The sudden collapse triggered widespread panic and chaos among the workers on the factory floor. Anil Mishra, a representative of the company, officially confirmed the death of Arvind and the injuries sustained by Mukesh Kumar following the accident.
Police Inquiry and Future Action
Upon being alerted about the collapse, a team from the UIT Phase-3 police station reached the scene to secure the area. Vikram Singh, the Station House Officer of UIT Phase-3, explained that scrap material stored in the factory was being moved from one spot to another when the wall collapsed. The police have started looking into the exact cause of the structure's failure. Authorities are examining whether any administrative negligence or safety lapses contributed to the sudden collapse of the wall. Police have informed Arvind's family about the tragedy and stated that further legal action will be initiated based on the formal complaint lodged by his relatives.
