Four distinct news stories from different corners of Rajasthan have emerged, each reflecting a different challenge the state faces, from the deadly menace of stray cattle on rural roads to explosive allegations of a staged murder inside a jail, a stolen vehicle bust netting cash, and a political storm over derogatory language at a public rally.
Five Family Members Hurt as Stray Cattle Trigger Tempo Crash Near Khandwa in Churu
A stray animal wandering onto the road near Khandwa village in Churu district caused a serious road accident when an electric tempo carrying members of a single family lost control and overturned. The family, residents of Khandwa, was returning home from Sardarshahar when the animal suddenly entered the vehicle's path just as the family was nearing their village. Five members of the same family sustained serious injuries in the crash, including women and children.
Screams filled the area immediately after the impact, drawing the attention of local residents and villagers. Bystanders rushed to the scene and helped shift all five injured persons to the Rajkiya Bhartiya Hospital in Churu, where they are currently receiving medical treatment. The incident has once again drawn attention to the persistent and unresolved danger that unattended stray animals continue to pose on rural and semi-urban roads across the state.
Hanumangarh Police Bust Stolen Car with Rs 2.50 Lakh Cash, Delhi Police Join Probe
Acting on information about a disturbance near the Bharatmala bridge in Hanumangarh, local police intercepted a suspicious Venue car after receiving an alert through the District Special Team (DST). The vehicle was searched carefully and officers recovered Rs 2.50 lakh in cash from inside it. Three young men travelling in the car were taken into custody at the scene.
Technical investigation subsequently revealed that the car had been stolen from the Narela police station area in Delhi. The three detainees are residents of Rasisar in Bikaner. Town SHO Ashok Vishnoi confirmed that all three have been formally arrested on charges of disturbing the peace. Following communication from Hanumangarh Police, a special team of Delhi Police has since arrived in Hanumangarh to participate in the investigation. Dotasara's Mocking Remark About Gadkari Sparks Political Firestorm in Bikaner
A public meeting organised in Bikaner under the Congress party's PBM Sudhaar Jan Andolan turned politically volatile when state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasara allegedly mocked Union Minister and BJP's former national president Nitin Gadkari from the stage, reportedly addressing him by the distorted name 'Gandkadi'. The remark triggered an immediate political reaction across Rajasthan.
BJP spokespersons and leaders responded sharply, arguing that such language clearly reveals Congress's poor political culture, using the Hindi term 'kunsanskar' to describe it. The BJP demanded that Dotasara exercise restraint and observe basic standards of political propriety whenever he addresses public gatherings. The episode has reignited a broader debate in Rajasthan over the declining standards of political discourse and the need for dignity in public speech.
Jagan Gurjar's Brother Brands Dholpur Jail Death a Deliberate Murder, CCTV Cameras Allegedly Switched Off
At the funeral of deceased dacoit Jagan Gurjar in Dholpur, his younger brother Pappu Gurjar made explosive allegations, declaring that Jagan's death was not accidental but a calculated murder orchestrated through the complicity of prison staff. Pappu alleged that the entire chain of events points to deliberate betrayal and coordination within the jail.
Pappu Gurjar claimed that Jagan was first administered a large quantity of sedative pills and was then strangled to death. He traced the roots of this alleged conspiracy to a longstanding enmity that has existed since 2011. He further alleged that the police are deliberately shielding the real culprits behind the crime by restricting the formal charge to only Vishnu Gurjar as the main accused, allowing others responsible at a higher level to remain untouched. Pappu also alleged that all CCTV cameras inside the jail were deliberately switched off at the time of the incident, a claim that would, if true, point to a coordinated inside cover-up.
Family members have collectively demanded a high-level and impartial investigation into the full sequence of events surrounding the death. Neither the jail administration nor the police has offered any official confirmation or rebuttal of these allegations so far, and the investigation into the matter remains ongoing.
