A major road accident was narrowly averted in Jhunjhunu city, Rajasthan, on Tuesday morning when two buses filled with school children collided at a busy transit point. The collision occurred around 7:30 AM at the Panchdev Mandir Chauraha involving vehicles belonging to ACI School and Delhi Public School (DPS). Panic briefly gripped the area as both buses were carrying students on their morning commute. Fortunately, despite the intensity of the impact, no injuries were reported among the children on board, bringing immense relief to parents and bystanders alike.
CCTV Footage Reveals Sequence of the Collision
Details of how the incident unfolded became clear on Wednesday after CCTV footage of the crash surfaced. According to eyewitness accounts and the video recording, the ACI School bus was attempting to cross the Panchdev Mandir intersection. At the same time, the Delhi Public School bus was advancing straight along its designated lane. As the ACI bus entered the crossing path, the DPS bus collided into its side. The impact caused noticeable structural damage to both vehicles, with the frontal section of the DPS school bus sustaining significant wreckage.
Local Bystanders and Shopkeepers Rush to Help
The loud crash from the collision alerted nearby shopkeepers, pedestrians, and commuters, who immediately gathered at the intersection. Knowing that school buses typically carry young children during peak morning hours, nearby residents acted swiftly to inspect the damaged vehicles. Relief swept through the crowd once it was verified that every student inside had escaped unharmed without any physical injuries. Separate Motorcycle Crash Reported Near Jhunjhunu District Jail
In a separate vehicular incident on the same day, Jhunjhunu city witnessed another collision along Mandawa Road, near the local sports stadium and District Jail premises. A high-impact accident took place between two motorcycles when the rider on the front bike executed a sudden turn toward the road leading to Kisan Colony. A speeding motorcycle following closely behind was unable to brake in time and crashed into the turning vehicle. The force of the rear-end collision flung both motorcycle riders onto the main road.
