Police identified the deceased as Head Constable Mahendra Meena. He had set out on his motorcycle from his residence on Sikar Road in Navalgarh, headed towards the Balwantpura crossing. Near Badrana, a speeding vehicle whose identity remains unknown rammed into his bike. The force of the impact threw him off the motorcycle onto the road, leaving him severely injured. The stretch is known for heavy daily traffic, with vehicles often speeding through the area.

People passing by the stretch gathered at the spot soon after the crash and alerted both the police and the ambulance service. A 108 ambulance reached the location shortly afterward and rushed Meena to the Navalgarh district hospital. Doctors examined him on arrival but could not revive him, and he was declared dead.

Station house officer reached the hospital personally

News of the death of a fellow officer prompted Navalgarh station house officer Ajay Singh to reach the district hospital himself to review the case. On his instructions, the body was kept in the hospital mortuary, and police formally opened an investigation into the crash. Investigators are yet to establish which vehicle was involved or who was driving it, so officers are scanning CCTV camera footage from the surrounding area in an effort to trace the vehicle and its driver.

Mahendra Meena was a resident of Meena Ki Dhani Sankhu village, under the Balara police station in Sikar district, and was the son of Banwari Lal. He had been serving as a head constable at the Navalgarh police station. His sudden death has left colleagues and acquaintances in mourning across the police department. Police have begun the required legal procedure, and arrangements are being made to carry out a postmortem examination before the body is handed over to the family for last rites.
