Kajal Pathak, a resident of Benipatti in Madhubani, secured All India Rank 3 in the NEET PG examination, bringing immense pride to her home state and district. Targeting Top Ranks From The Start
Reflecting on her preparation journey, Kajal shared that she had set her sights high from the very beginning. Her primary aspiration was to secure a top-tier rank on her initial attempt so she could comfortably secure admission to a premier medical college of her choice in Delhi. However, managing the rigorous demands of a medical internship and a professional job alongside exam preparation was far from simple. Despite facing severe time constraints due to her work schedule, she managed to dedicate roughly six hours every single day to her studies without fail.
Intensive Revision In The Final Months
As the examination drew closer, Kajal shifted her strategy entirely during the final three months by moving back to her native village. In the focused environment of her village home, she immersed herself completely in preparation, ramping up her study hours to approximately 14 hours a day. She noted that her initial modest target was simply to crack the top 100, assuming that even with minor setbacks she would comfortably land within the top 500. Securing the third rank across the entire country far exceeded her expectations and turned into a moment of immense fulfillment.
Educational Journey From Benipatti To Delhi
Kajal completed her foundational schooling up to the twelfth grade right in her hometown of Benipatti. Following her school education, she moved to Patna and eventually to Delhi, where she successfully completed her MBBS degree. At present, she is completing her compulsory medical internship alongside her professional engagements. Balancing the heavy practical workloads of clinical training and employment while preparing for a fiercely competitive national entrance test required meticulous time management and immense personal discipline. She emphasizes that having absolute clarity of purpose from day one is essential for anyone aiming for top-tier success.
Family Background And Parental Guidance
Coming from a close-knit household consisting of her parents and two brothers, Kajal draws immense strength from her family. Her father, Rajmohan Pathak, has been running a local tuition institute in their village for nearly 26 years, while her mother is a homemaker. Rajmohan believes that providing children with the right direction and consistent guidance is the cornerstone of their success. He advocates that parents must keep their children motivated toward their studies and actively shield them from the unnecessary distractions posed by excessive mobile phone usage.
