In the absence of specialized modern equipment and facing challenging conditions, relief operations can sometimes fall short, leading to greater loss of life and property. Finding a technical solution to this serious practical problem, three young students from Maharajganj district have proven their mettle. Ansh Gupta, Amarendra Kushwaha, and Shreyanshi Rauniyar—promising students from the area—have developed an RC (remote-controlled) plane for a highly affordable cost of just ₹15,000. This aircraft will not only accelerate rescue operations during emergencies but also ensure the safe and rapid delivery of essential supplies to people stranded in floods.
A Lifeline for Flood and Disaster Management
Every year, floods and other natural disasters cause massive devastation across various regions. Whenever such unexpected emergencies occur, different rescue and relief teams immediately rush to the incident zones, making every possible effort to save lives. However, rescue missions sometimes fail to achieve their full potential due to geographical barriers, harsh weather, and a lack of proper equipment tailored to the exact need of the hour. Ansh, Amarendra, and Shreyanshi—students of RPIC School located in Bijapar, within the Siswa area of Maharajganj district—understood this ground-level challenge very closely. They realized that sending a small, controlled, and efficient device through the sky could easily access locations where it is difficult for rescue boats or large helicopters to navigate. With this thought process, they designed an RC plane specifically customized for rescue and delivery operations. The aircraft is engineered to safely reach the incident site and provide immediate assistance.
Inspired by the Internet and Backed by Intensive Research
This unique and socially useful project began with a simple idea that these students discovered in the digital world. Ansh Gupta explains that they first saw the initial concept of such rescue aircraft on the internet. Following this, the team of Ansh, Amarendra, and Shreyanshi firmly decided to turn this idea into reality. They conducted intensive online research regarding every aspect of the required technology, including aerodynamics, remote control mechanisms, and motor capabilities. Rather than just limiting themselves to watching videos, these young minds gathered comprehensive information about building an RC plane and closely understood its working principles. Armed with profound knowledge about the technology, they began the construction process. It is the direct result of their relentless efforts and hard work that this small yet highly useful aircraft is now fully built and ready.
An Advanced Aircraft Built on a ₹15,000 Budget
Generally, drones and remote-controlled aircraft used in rescue operations cost a substantial amount of money, but these students completed their innovation on an extremely economical budget. While discussing the project, Ansh Gupta stated that building this RC plane, which is equipped with modern technology, cost a total of around ₹15,000. Despite being developed on such a low budget, the plane is loaded with modern capabilities and can perform several crucial tasks. It is primarily designed to reach the exact location of people trapped during a disaster. Through this aircraft, essential materials—such as first aid kits, medicines, or dry rations—can be directly delivered to the affected individuals by air. Additionally, it can play a major role in guiding rescue teams and assessing the on-ground situation during emergency operations.
Two Successful Test Flights and Widespread Appreciation
The true authenticity of any new invention relies on its successful real-world testing. The student team made sure to thoroughly test the RC plane in this regard as well. After completing the project, the team successfully flew the aircraft twice to check its capabilities. The results from both test flights came back completely positive, proving that the technology is ready to perform in the field. When looking at this RC plane, it appears highly attractive and looks incredibly beneficial from a disaster management perspective. The noble objective with which these young inventors built the device clearly demonstrates how today's youth perceive real-world incidents and what creative, modern-day efforts they make to tackle those challenges.
