A tragic road accident in the Loni area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on September 8 claimed the life of a young Uttar Pradesh Police constable. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Suraj, who was heading to join his very first posting at the Banthala outpost after successfully completing his police training. The fatal incident occurred when a speeding tractor-trolley hit his auto-rickshaw with massive force. According to police, the crash took place around 4:30 PM on September 8 along the Banthala-Chirodi road near Balaji Netralaya. Following the collision, the driver fled the spot along with the tractor-trolley. The entire sequence of events was caught on a nearby CCTV camera.
Constable Suraj sustained critical injuries in the crash
The violent impact caused a severe fracture in the thigh bone of Suraj's right leg, leaving him grievously injured. Hailing originally from Garhi Thakurdas village in Agra and belonging to the 2025 police batch, Suraj was sitting in the front passenger seat next to the auto driver while traveling from the Loni police station toward the Banthala outpost.
