Political maneuvering is gaining momentum across Uttar Pradesh ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has begun actively touring multiple districts to establish ground support for his party. During his recent visits covering areas including Shravasti and Lucknow, the Hyderabad lawmaker voiced strong criticism of established opposition groups, cautioning against taking minority backing for granted.
Challenging the Opposition Approach
Addressing political developments in Lucknow, Owaisi directed sharp remarks toward the Samajwadi Party and Congress. He argued that conventional opposition forces seem reluctant to concede actual legislative representation to Muslim voters. The prevailing system, he contended, expects community members merely to lay mats at gatherings, chant party slogans, cast their ballots, and return home without demanding governance roles.
Joint Front Call Against the BJP
Highlighting the broader political landscape, Owaisi stressed that stopping the BJP and Yogi Adityanath from securing a third term requires united opposition cooperation. He noted that partnering remains an individual choice for the Samajwadi Party and Congress. However, he warned that viewing the community as passive political property must end immediately, reaffirming that voters will actively assert their rightful political standing.
