On their way back, a 21-year-old local resident named Mukesh Nishad intercepted them. Under the deceitful pretext of showing the young boy a local dance performance, the accused managed to lure him away from his siblings. When the child failed to return home late into the night, his anxious family members grew incredibly worried and began a frantic search across the village, but to no avail.

The desperate search continued through the dark hours with no success. The following morning, on May 13, the villagers made a horrifying and heartbreaking discovery. The lifeless body of the missing seven-year-old boy was found dumped in dense bushes, approximately 400 to 500 meters away from the village premises.
