A shocking incident has emerged from Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh, where Anand Rajput, a property dealer based in Toda village under the Civil Lines police jurisdiction, was found dead inside his home under mysterious circumstances. The discovery has caused a massive uproar in the area, with family members leveling direct accusations of murder against his wife and her purported romantic partner.
Allegations of a Deadly Conspiracy
Anand's father, Sughar Singh, stated that his daughter-in-law, Ashiki Devi, was involved in an illicit relationship with a local youth named Shivam. According to the father, about three months ago, Anand had caught both of them in a compromising situation. Following that incident, Anand had filed a formal complaint against Shivam, which led to the latter being sent to jail. The family mentioned that Shivam had only recently been released from custody and had resumed contact with Ashiki shortly after returning.
Claims of Drugging and Strangulation
Sughar Singh alleges that his daughter-in-law, with the help of two or three accomplices, first fed Anand a toxic or intoxicating substance and subsequently strangled him to death. He further insisted that the CCTV cameras installed near the house captured visuals of some suspicious individuals on a motorcycle, which he believes should be thoroughly investigated by the authorities.
Details of the Night of the Incident
Abhishek, a friend of the deceased, recounted that Anand had been with him until approximately 9:00 PM on Sunday night before leaving for his home. At around midnight, Ashiki reportedly called out to neighbors, claiming that Anand had suddenly fallen ill. Upon arriving at the house, those present found Anand dead on his bed. Police and a forensic team were promptly dispatched to the scene to secure evidence and conduct a detailed examination.
Legal Proceedings and Investigation
Senior Superintendent of Police of Etawah, Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, confirmed that a formal complaint has been filed by the son of the deceased. While preliminary information suggests the incident might be a case of suicide by hanging, the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination performed by a medical panel. The police are waiting for the autopsy report and will base further legal action on the findings of the investigation.
A Family in Crisis
Anand Rajput leaves behind his wife Ashiki, his daughter Chhavi, his son Abhi, and another daughter, Durga. He supported his family by working in land plotting and as a partner in a brick kiln. In the wake of the incident, the police have taken his wife, Ashiki, into custody for interrogation to uncover the truth behind the suspicious death.
