Went missing from Sushant Golf City area
Dhirendra Pratap Singh served as a divisional in-charge for the Hindu Yuva Vahini and had been reported missing since Saturday from the Sushant Golf City police station jurisdiction. While search efforts were underway, his body surfaced in the Dubagga canal on Sunday. Investigators currently suspect that his own driver may have orchestrated the assassination. Given the high-profile nature of the outfit and the brazen execution, the Special Task Force of the Uttar Pradesh Police has also stepped in to assist local authorities in cracking the case.
Unnao roots and potential land dispute angle
Originally hailing from Rajepur village in the Fatehpur Chaurasi area of Unnao district, Singh had been living in Lucknow's PGI locality for a considerable period. He had maintained a long-standing association with the Hindu Yuva Vahini organization. After his disappearance on Saturday, police had registered a missing person report and deployed multiple teams to trace him. According to emerging details, he was reportedly abducted from a shopping mall in Lucknow on Saturday. Furthermore, investigators are examining whether a high-stakes property dispute involving land valued at roughly 50 crore rupees played a role in the killing, as police explore all possible motives.
