Expressing utter frustration over the miserable condition of Bhikam Singh Park, Ward 105 corporator Meraj chose to lie down directly in the stagnant, dirty water. He declared that he would refuse to budge until officials arrived at the scene and initiated concrete steps to resolve the crisis.
Growing Frustration Over Ignored Complaints
Representing Zone 3, the corporator explained that multiple written complaints and formal letters regarding the dire state of Bhikam Singh Park had been submitted to the relevant authorities. Despite repeated appeals, the situation on the ground remained entirely unchanged. Driven to the edge by official apathy, he decided to adopt a visible form of protest, sending a direct message to the departments concerned that empty assurances would no longer be tolerated.
Broken Swings And Non-Functional Lights Add To Woes
According to the corporator, water accumulation is merely one facet of the deteriorating park. For nearly a year, the playground swings have been broken, and the streetlights have remained out of order.
