According to available details, the incident took place on Sunday evening when Pushpendra Kumar, son of Rajkumar and a resident of Parwai village under the Raksa police station area, visited Pahuj Dam alongside a group of friends. Pushpendra positioned himself at a viewpoint section on the left side of the dam structure, while his friends stationed themselves on the opposite side to record the stunt on their mobile phones.
