The destructive force of the explosion brought down the roof and completely flattened the two-storey residential building. Approximately half a dozen people residing inside were buried beneath the collapsed structure. The mishap occurred within the jurisdiction of the Malwan police station while daily meals were being cooked in the kitchen. Without warning, the gas cylinder ruptured with a deafening noise, triggering instant panic throughout the neighbourhood. The abrupt impact generated chaotic scenes as terrified residents ran out into the streets amidst cries for help.
Structural Collapse Damages Four to Five Surrounding Properties
The sheer impact of the blast obliterated the building, reducing the entire two-storey concrete framework to rubble and trapping occupants under heavy debris. Beyond decimating the primary residence, the shockwaves also damaged four to five adjoining homes in the close vicinity, cracking walls and causing external ruin across adjacent properties.

Senior administrative leadership, including the District Magistrate (DM) and the Superintendent of Police (SP), arrived on the ground to manage the critical response. Emergency personnel and rescue teams continue to comb through the rubble to locate survivors and pull trapped victims safely out of the wreckage.
