Providing official details on the disciplinary step, District Basic Education Officer Manish Kumar Singh stated that Manoj Rai, who was deployed at the composite school in Basantpur under the Sukhpura police station jurisdiction, was suspended on Wednesday with immediate effect. The decision came after the Block Education Officer submitted a formal investigation report on September 1. According to the findings of that preliminary probe, the allegations of harassment and inappropriate conduct leveled by the young student against Rai were substantiated by initial evidence.
Student Statement Supported by Classmates
The allegations gained momentum after the victim gave a detailed statement describing the ordeal. In her recorded testimony, the Class 5 girl explicitly named teacher Manoj Rai and detailed the inappropriate advances and harassment she experienced inside the school premises. Their testimonies confirmed that the educator had engaged in questionable behavior, leaving little doubt during the preliminary inquiry stage.
