Police interrogation of model Shraddha Dubey, the prime accused in the alleged murder case of Lucknow cafe owner Shiva Sharma, is currently underway. Following their arrest in Nagpur on Tuesday, Shraddha Dubey, Rashmi Dubey, and driver Danish were brought to Lucknow on transit remand. On Thursday, authorities subjected Shraddha Dubey to sustained questioning that lasted for five hours. Investigators claim that Shraddha is uncooperative during the interrogation process. Police questioned Shraddha regarding the sequence of events on October 9. The three accused were questioned separately and later confronted together to understand the events of that fateful evening. According to police sources, all three accused are repeatedly sticking to the exact same scripted story, making it difficult to uncover the truth. Expanding the scope of their financial investigation, the police have frozen a bank account belonging to Shraddha containing 6 lakh rupees. Additionally, authorities have recovered four mobile phones from her possession, which are now being examined for digital evidence. Surprisingly, despite facing intense questioning over a serious criminal matter, Shraddha appeared more concerned about her social media presence and Instagram followers than the gravity of the situation. Investigators are also looking into who arranged legal representation for the accused. Initial reports indicate that the son of a former Director General arranged legal counsel and assistance for Shraddha. Police are now probing all individuals who might have provided financial or logistical support during the evasion.
Police Piecing Together the Events of October 9
Investigators posed a series of pointed questions to Shraddha Dubey. Police asked why Shiva Sharma allegedly died by suicide and where she was when he stepped out of the door to jump. Authorities questioned what her sister and driver were doing at that time, who else was present inside the flat, whether she made any attempt to stop him, why she failed to immediately notify the police, and why they fled the hospital premises instead of staying. Police also inquired who Shraddha called first after the incident, where they went immediately after leaving Lucknow, and who assisted in their escape. Investigators questioned why the accused returned to Lucknow from Nepal, why they subsequently traveled to Nagpur, who arranged the flat for them there, and who was financing their underground movement.
Police are currently cross-checking these responses and verifying the collected physical and digital evidence. Meanwhile, police have also detained Shraddha Dubey's boyfriend, Aamir. Aamir was the person who helped Shraddha escape from Lucknow on the night of October 9. Records indicate that Aamir dropped Shraddha off near the Nepal border, and law enforcement agencies are now questioning him regarding his role in facilitating the escape.
Mysterious Death of Shiva Sharma from Fourth Floor
The incident occurred on October 9 at Awadh Green Apartment located in the upscale Hazratganj area of Lucknow, where millionaire businessman Shiva Sharma died under suspicious circumstances after falling from the fourth floor. Model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey resided on this exact same floor. The mother of the deceased businessman filed a formal murder case against Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi, and driver Tanveer. Police are utilizing these charges and ongoing forensic evaluations to determine the exact sequence of events inside the apartment on the night of the tragedy.
