A catastrophic highway collision in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district claimed the lives of three young men and left another critically injured within the jurisdiction of the Ramsanehighat police station. The incident occurred near the Baisanpurwa turn as four close friends, traveling on two separate motorcycles, were returning home after attending a Durga Puja community feast in Dharauli. As their two-wheelers attempted to merge onto the main highway, a speeding Tata Safari traveling from the direction of Ayodhya toward Lucknow slammed forcefully into both motorcycles.
Violent Impact Flings Motorcyclists Several Feet Away
All four victims were residents of Dalsinghpurwa village who had set out together earlier in the evening to participate in the festive gathering. The collision took place with immense force, throwing all four riders several feet into the air and onto the asphalt. The intensity of the crash was such that one of the two motorcycles became completely entangled underneath the front frame of the oncoming SUV, causing immediate panic and distress among bystanders.
Three Fatalities at the Scene and One Transferred to Lucknow
Emergency medical assessment confirmed that Anoop Rawat (26), Vimlesh Yadav (22), and Anil (23) succumbed instantly to their extensive injuries at the crash site. The fourth companion, identified as Bucchi (30), sustained life-threatening trauma. After initial resuscitation and preliminary stabilization at a local medical facility, attending physicians referred him to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Lucknow for advanced medical intervention due to his critical condition.
Highway Traffic Snarled as Police Impound Involved Vehicle
The severity of the crash triggered significant vehicular congestion along the Ayodhya-Lucknow highway corridor, bringing traffic to a standstill for more than thirty minutes. Emergency teams and local law enforcement personnel arrived promptly at the location to clear the wreckage and ease the gridlock. Officers took custody of the three bodies and dispatched them for formal post-mortem examinations, while simultaneously impounding the involved Tata Safari for technical and legal investigation.
