A shocking incident has emerged from the renowned Buddheswar Temple, located in the Para police station area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, severely hurting the sentiments of devotees. The individual entrusted with managing temple affairs turned out to be the perpetrator behind the disappearance of valuable temple bells that had been occurring for several days. Concerned by the persistent thefts, the temple administration tightened security measures and began monitoring the premises closely. Today, their vigilance paid off when the accused attendant was apprehended red-handed while attempting to flee with a bag packed with dozens of these valuable bells. The public immediately summoned the police and handed the culprit over to them.
Attendant Caught With Stolen Bells
The apprehended temple attendant has been identified as Golu, also known as Gaurav. He was responsible for managing arrangements for the Shringar Aarti, a position of trust that he allegedly exploited to carry out these thefts for quite some time. Local residents suspect that this individual was also responsible for previous incidents where bells mysteriously vanished from the temple grounds. Following this incident, several locals, including Sunny, Vishal, and Rakesh, submitted a written complaint against the accused at the Para police station.
The formal complaint highlights that the responsibility for the maintenance and oversight of the temple rests with the district administration. Consequently, the police have registered the complaint and initiated a formal investigation. The officers at the Para police station are currently examining the recovered items and other evidence to build their case. Authorities have stated that further legal action will be taken based on the findings discovered during the course of the investigation.
Donation Scandal at Baglamukhi Temple
This is not the only recent case of irregularities involving temples. Significant concerns have also been raised regarding a donation scandal at the famous Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Madhya Pradesh. Located in Nalkheda, Agar-Malwa district, the temple has allegedly seen major discrepancies in the management of donations, offerings, and gold and silver jewelry donated by pilgrims. Following reports of serious irregularities regarding offerings received from devotees, Collector Preeti Yadav has ordered a thorough inquiry into the matter. A three-member committee has been formed, and they have been instructed to submit their final report within a period of 7 days. According to the complaints, the legitimate government-appointed committee for temple management was sidelined. In its place, an unauthorized committee was reportedly collecting gold, silver, and cash donations directly from devotees, leading to allegations of a massive scam in the accounting of these offerings.
