UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Hand Over Appointment Letters to 3,572 Youth in Agriculture Department Today

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will distribute appointment letters to 3,572 newly selected youth in the agriculture department and mandi council in Lucknow today.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to distribute formal appointment letters to 3,572 newly selected candidates in the agriculture department and mandi council during an event in Lucknow today. Sharing details about the initiative, the Chief Minister emphasized that empowering the state's youth with employment opportunities and guiding them toward self-reliance remains a top priority for the administration.

Transparent Selection Through UPSSSC

The appointments being handed out today follow a fair and transparent recruitment process conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). The beneficiaries include 3,446 technical assistants under Group-C for the agriculture department, alongside 126 mandi secretaries under category-3 and class-2 for the mandi council. By recognizing talent and honoring hard work, the state government aims to steadily fulfill its broader vision of building a capable youth base and a robust state.

Earlier Employment Drives Across Departments

This follows a series of similar employment distributions organized by the state administration. Back in May 2026, the Chief Minister handed out appointment letters to selected professors, readers, medical officers, and staff nurses associated with the AYUSH department. Instructors under the vocational education department also received their appointment letters during that phase. Additionally, candidates selected for posts such as nurses, hostel wardens, and compounders in the empowerment of persons with disabilities department became part of this large recruitment drive, which was managed through the state public service commission and the subordinate services selection commission.

Focus on Japanese Investments and Policy Discussions

Beyond employment distributions, administrative preparations have also focused on boosting foreign investments. Recently, the Chief Minister chaired a high-level meeting in Lucknow with officials from Invest UP and related departments to discuss ways to attract Japanese investments and promote tourism. During the interaction, discussions centered on maintaining continuous dialogue with Japan to expand employment avenues for local youth. The Chief Minister also reviewed the land acquisition progress for the Japanese city project under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and directed officials to expedite the work. Meanwhile, during a public event in Rae Bareli, the Chief Minister delivered sharp remarks targeting opposition leaders including Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

This recruitment drive will prove instrumental in digitally and technically empowering the agricultural sector while giving momentum to the rural economy. The deployment of trained youth as technical assistants and mandi secretaries will directly bring administrative efficiency to food supply management and grassroots agricultural operations. In the coming days, the on-ground performance and posting transparency of these personnel will be the real test of this policy.
