Jyoti Verma, a newlywed woman residing in the Japlinganj neighborhood under the jurisdiction of the City Kotwali police station, finds herself caught in a desperate battle to locate her missing husband. Carrying a written complaint in her hands and tears of helplessness in her eyes, she has been relentlessly visiting local authorities for assistance. However, instead of offering help or initiating a search operation, local police officers reportedly scolded her and turned her away, forcing the aggrieved woman to approach the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) directly.
Years of Relationship and the Court Marriage
According to the aggrieved woman, Jyoti Verma, she and her husband had been in a loving relationship for several years. After a long period of mutual understanding and togetherness, the couple decided to solemnize their bond legally through a court marriage with mutual consent. However, because it was an inter-caste love marriage, the young man's family was strongly opposed to the union from the very beginning. The in-laws refused to accept the marriage and harbored deep anger and resentment regarding the couple's decision to marry against their wishes.
Deceptive Call Home and Property Disownment
Jyoti Verma alleged that as soon as her husband's parents found out about the legal marriage, they devised a plan and deceptively summoned their son back to their residence. Upon his arrival, the family members coerced him into signing several crucial legal and property-related documents under false pretenses. Through these signed papers, the parents formally disowned their son from all ancestral and family property. The victim stated that these signatures were obtained deceitfully without her knowledge or true consent from her husband.
Mysterious Disappearance on the 30th Raises Suspicion
The situation took a dark turn on the 30th, the exact day the property disownment papers were signed, when the husband vanished under highly suspicious circumstances. He has not been seen or heard from since that date. Jyoti Verma expressed grave concern that his sudden disappearance is connected to the actions of her in-laws. She strongly suspects that her husband's family members have either unlawfully detained and hidden him at an undisclosed location or caused him severe harm to prevent him from returning to his wife.
Police Inaction and Direct Appeal to Senior Officials
The sudden and unexplained disappearance of her life partner has left the newlywed woman in immense agony and distress. She reported that every time she approached the local police station seeking justice and requesting an investigation to trace her spouse, she was met with indifference, rude behavior, and stalling tactics.
