A critical stage in the military selection process has gotten underway for aspirants aiming to serve in the armed forces. Ground operations for the Agniveer recruitment rally began in Roorkee, catering to candidates from across every district of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Organized under the administration of the Central Command, this intensive evaluation round will run through October 12, 2026. Aspirants from both states are reporting to the venue in accordance with a district-wise schedule mapped out by recruitment authorities.
Physical and Medical Stages Follow Written Exam Success
Participation in the ongoing 2026 Agniveer recruitment rally is restricted to candidates who cleared the initial written examination. Having cleared the theoretical hurdle, these aspirants now confront rigorous practical assessments involving demanding physical performance benchmarks followed by detailed medical screenings. Military selection officials emphasize that candidates must verify the designated dates for their respective home districts and arrive at the testing grounds strictly on time to ensure orderly processing.
Demanding Physical Standards on the Testing Ground
Under the Agniveer scheme, which recruits youth into the Indian Army for short-service tenures, physical conditioning standards are strictly maintained. Upon reaching the rally ground, participants must first complete a 1.6-kilometer run, which serves as the primary gauge of cardiovascular endurance and pacing. Candidates who meet the timing threshold advance directly to subsequent physical obstacles, including pull-ups on the beam, push-ups, and zigzag balance tests. Those who satisfy all athletic criteria proceed to comprehensive medical examinations, after which final merit lists are prepared following comprehensive document verification.
District Rosters for Clerk and General Technical Cadres
According to Shantanu Pratap Singh, Public Relations Officer for the Central Command, this rally primarily focuses on vacancies for Agniveer Clerk-SKT alongside several other designated categories. To coordinate logistics and manage candidate volumes efficiently, testing slots have been systematically apportioned by district across both participating states.
From Uttarakhand, candidates hailing from Almora, Bageshwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, and Pithoragarh are scheduled alongside cohorts from Chamoli, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, and Uttarkashi.

One contingent brings together Bahraich, Balrampur, Bareilly, Badaun, Farrukhabad, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Sambhal, Shahjahanpur, Shravasti, and Sitapur. Another regional grouping accommodates Amethi, Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya, Basti, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Raebareli, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, and Sultanpur.

Mandatory Documentation Required at the Venue
Administrative compliance during armed forces recruitment is uncompromising, and documentation oversights can result in immediate disqualification. Candidates must carry their original admit card, PAN card, and Aadhaar card to the venue. Given the requirement for digital authentication, individuals should also bring a functioning mobile telephone linked to their registered Aadhaar profile.
The administrative dossier must further contain 20 color passport-sized photographs, original academic marks cards and educational certificates, domicile certificates, caste verification papers, school or college character certificates, police character verification documents, an unmarried status certificate, and a religion certificate. Candidates possessing NCC credentials or validated sports certificates must bring these along to claim applicable criteria. Every participant is required to keep three complete sets of photocopies alongside their original documents.
