Festive home decor in Uttarakhand is witnessing an artistic upgrade this season as shoppers explore running water installations alongside traditional earthen lamps and electric strings. At the ongoing fair set up at the Parade Ground in Dehradun, handcrafted water fountains carved from Malaysian marble have been placed on display. Combining illuminated water flow with sculpted stone, these decorative units begin at a retail price of ₹1,000. The collection showcases tranquil statues of Mahatma Buddha, multi-tiered floral carvings, and natural rock simulations designed to fit diverse interior and outdoor spaces.
Sourced From Malaysia With Enhanced Material Durability
Providing details about the craftsmanship, stall owner Wakeel explained that the foundational structure and design of these water pieces are completed in Malaysia before being imported into India. He noted that the dense composition of Malaysian marble grants these fountains superior structural integrity compared to standard decorative options. While lightweight fiber alternatives frequently suffer cracks or damage under physical pressure, the solid stone framework delivers high durability that withstands regular movement and sustained use over many years.
Designs Spanning Floral Themes, Natural Rocks, And Buddha Statues
To cater to varying aesthetic preferences and room layouts, the vendor has introduced a range of sizes spanning compact tabletop pieces to prominent garden features. Key designs include meditative figures of Mahatma Buddha alongside textured rock facades and layered floral patterns. These installations can be placed at house entrances, in living rooms, on apartment balconies, or across open rooftops. The gentle descent of flowing water illuminated by integrated lighting adds a dynamic visual element to home arrangements.
Weather-Resistant Surfaces And Replaceable Pump Mechanisms
Addressing durability under varying conditions, Wakeel stated that the fountains can be positioned outdoors in open lawns without concern for immediate degradation. The marble surface resists continuous exposure to strong sun rays and monsoon rains without shedding its natural finish or fading in color. The design also allows for straightforward routine cleaning to prevent residue buildup. In the event of long-term wear after prolonged operation, the internal water pump motor can be replaced independently without altering the outer stone structure.
Operational Power Running Costs Near ₹25 Per Day
Regarding water maintenance and operational costs, the seller recommended refilling the fountain basin with filtered water to keep internal lines clear, advising owners to refresh the water whenever sediment gathers. Touching upon domestic electricity consumption, he stated that operating the integrated pump and lighting continuously for 24 hours incurs an estimated power expenditure of around 24 to 25 rupees. Unit pricing starts at ₹1,000 and scales upward depending on overall dimensions, detail intricacy, and stone volume.
