A contractual teacher recruitment walk-in interview drive organized at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya campus in Madhubani descended into chaos following an unexpectedly large influx of job seekers. Candidates from Madhubani and neighboring districts gathered in huge numbers, leading to mismanagement inside the campus and causing extensive traffic gridlocks on the adjacent main thoroughfare.
Multiple Contractual Positions Offered
The walk-in interview was arranged to fill various contractual positions, including Primary Teacher, Computer Instructor, Music Coach, and Bal Vatika Teacher, for Kendriya Vidyalaya branches in Madhubani and Jhanjharpur. As outlined in the official recruitment advertisement, candidate registration was scheduled to be followed by document verification and formal interview rounds.
Lack of Application Receipts Sparks Confusion
Job applicants expressed deep dissatisfaction after officials collected their completed application forms without providing any physical receipt or written acknowledgment. Candidates were instructed to track further announcements through the KVS online portal. The absence of a formal submission receipt generated widespread anxiety among candidates regarding the validation of their candidate profiles.
Severe Traffic Gridlock and Campus Management Failures
Inadequate crowd management arrangements inside the campus failed to handle the heavy surge of applicants. The crowd spilled over onto the primary access road, collapsing the local traffic movement system. Commuters and local residents endured severe travel delays as traffic remained paralyzed for several hours.
Demands for Transparency and Infrastructure Support
Frustrated candidates raised concerns regarding the organization of the event, calling for full transparency in the recruitment process and levying allegations of administrative irregularities. Job seekers emphasized that given the high volume of applicants attending recruitment drives, organizers must establish multiple registration desks, deploy adequate security personnel, and implement structured crowd control measures in future hiring events.
