In Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur district, educated unemployed youth have been presented with a direct earning opportunity through the Agriculture Department's digital land survey initiative. Under the AgriStack project, private surveyors are being appointed to conduct digital crop verifications, locally known as E-Khasra Padtal. Interested applicants who possess basic educational qualifications and an Android smartphone can earn substantial money within a short timeframe by participating in this digital enumeration drive.
Understanding the AgriStack E-Khasra Padtal
The E-Khasra Padtal is an updated digital version of the traditional physical crop inspection process. Deputy Director of Agriculture Vikesh Kumar Patel stated that surveyors appointed under this program must physically visit designated agricultural land units, known as gatas. At each location, surveyors identify the standing crops grown on the field, capture geotagged photographs using a dedicated mobile application, and upload the collected data directly to government databases online. This digital system aims to create precise records of seasonal agricultural output across the region.
Payout Structure and Earning Potential
The state government has fixed a clear remuneration structure for private surveyors engaged in the AgriStack project. Surveyors receive an honorarium of 10 rupees for every individual gata surveyed and verified. To ensure fair distribution of work and manageable workloads, the department has set an upper limit of 3,000 gatas per individual private surveyor.
At the rate of 10 rupees per plot unit, completing the maximum allowed limit of 3,000 gatas enables a surveyor to earn up to 30,000 rupees. According to official estimates, dedicated field workers can complete this targeted survey count within a period of 10 to 15 days, making it an attractive short term employment prospect for local youth.
Eligibility Criteria and Skills Required
The Agriculture Department has set straightforward eligibility criteria to allow widespread participation among local residents. To qualify for the role of a private surveyor, candidates must meet the following basic requirements
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully passed High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) examinations.
- Hardware Requirement: Applicants must possess an active Android smartphone capable of downloading and running official survey applications.
- Technical & Agricultural Knowledge: Candidates should be proficient in using smartphone apps and must possess practical knowledge to accurately identify various standing crops on agricultural fields.
Application Process and Location Selection
Eligible candidates interested in joining the AgriStack survey drive can submit their applications through the official Agri UP platform. The application process allows candidates to select work areas conveniently. Applicants have the flexibility to apply for survey work within their own native Gram Panchayat or in neighboring Gram Panchayats depending on slot availability and geographic preference.
