The raid took place in the New Steel Park area, located near the Main Gate locality of Durgapur, where vehicles carrying officials from the central probe agency arrived during the early hours. The sudden movement created significant curiosity and commotion among nearby residents who gathered to learn the reason behind the high-profile operation.

The NIA team arrived at the New Steel Park site around 7:00 AM on Monday to initiate the search. The operation was managed by a total of six officers split into two distinct teams. The premises searched by the agency belong to an individual named Ghulam Jama. According to local details, Jama originally hails from Muzaffarpur district in Bihar. He relocated to Durgapur approximately three years ago, where he constructed a house in New Steel Park and has been residing there with his wife and two sons. It has also been revealed that Jama previously worked abroad in Saudi Arabia as well as several other foreign countries before settling down locally.
