Delhi Police have stepped up operational readiness across the national capital following projections that approximately 7,000 demonstrators could gather on Saturday. Senior commanders have issued unambiguous instructions to on-duty personnel to exercise maximum restraint and manage the evolving ground situation with strict professionalism. During operational briefings conducted ahead of the planned demonstration, officers were told not to react to provocative behavior from participants and to preserve peace throughout the deployment.
Zero Tolerance for Unauthorised Assemblies and Detentions Planned
Directives shared regarding the operational protocol confirm that no unapproved gatherings will be permitted anywhere in the city. Field personnel have received clear mandates to intercept and detain individuals arriving to take part in the unauthorized demonstration. Those detained will be transferred directly to pre-designated holding facilities to prevent crowd build-up and unrest. Furthermore, authorities pointed out that should individuals presenting themselves as independent journalists attempt to incite security staff or instigate confrontational situations, proportionate action will be initiated against them depending on the circumstances.
