On Saturday evening, after finishing his dinner as part of his normal routine, Shankar Singh retired for the night in a separate thatched room located right next to his family house. The following morning, when he failed to emerge from the room for a considerable period and no activity was observed inside, his family members grew increasingly concerned.
Driven by apprehension, the victim's brother entered the thatched house to check on him. Inside, he discovered a horrific scene: Shankar Singh was lying dead on his bed with his throat severed using a sharp edge. The brother immediately raised an alarm, drawing relatives and surrounding villagers to the spot. The gruesome discovery triggered widespread shock and fear across the village.
Family Background and Solitary Living Conditions
Inquiries into the victim's background revealed that Shankar Singh belonged to a family of five brothers. One of his brothers had passed away earlier, while three other brothers are alive.
