Weapons Recovered Following Interrogation of Youth Trinamool President
The initial phase of the operation was launched by the Berhampore police station following a confidential tip-off. Authorities subjected Papai Ghosh, the youth wing president of the party in Berhampore town who was already in police custody, to intensive questioning. Subsequent searches conducted at his residence based on these leads yielded 7 illegal firearms, 5 magazines, and 186 rounds of ammunition. The scale of the recovery has generated widespread alarm and tension throughout the local neighborhood.
Additional Firearms Seized in Shaktipur

Acting upon the disclosures made by this individual, law enforcement teams carried out a targeted search that successfully uncovered an additional 3 firearms, 6 magazines, and 40 rounds of ammunition. Investigators are currently working to trace the origin of these arms and determine their intended destination.
Police Investigating Broader Criminal Network
Authorities are actively probing the wider network to identify other participants linked to this operation and to ascertain where the confiscated weapons were slated to be transported. Two additional suspects have been detained in connection with the ongoing investigation.
