Between 2022 and August 2026, POCSO courts across Gujarat concluded a total of 1,785 cases. Among these, 908 criminals were sentenced to life imprisonment while 16 offenders received the death penalty. The annual count of judicial decisions has witnessed a steady upward trajectory over the years. Records indicate that in 2022, 194 verdicts led to life imprisonment for 107 accused individuals. Subsequently, in 2025, 499 rulings resulted in 340 convicts receiving life terms. During the first eight months of the ongoing year up to August 2026, 346 verdicts have already secured life imprisonment for 241 accused persons. Notably, the month of August alone recorded sentencing decisions in 48 POCSO cases, with 35 of them carrying life sentences.

Investigations were wrapped up and chargesheets filed within 16 to 30 days for 1,339 crimes. Similarly, chargesheets were submitted within 31 to 45 days in 5,463 criminal matters. These figures highlight the seriousness and speed with which law enforcement agencies approach these investigations.
