Speaking out on Monday, Chaudhary condemned the use of military-grade firearms and the lathicharge on young protesters across various regions, stating firmly that she and her party stand firmly against such measures.

At the same time, the parliamentarian touched upon the complex ground realities during public unrest. She pointed out that activists like Sonam Wangchuk along with spokespersons for the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) have acknowledged that disruptive elements often infiltrate large gatherings, necessitating strict administrative measures to preserve public order and maintain peace in volatile areas.
The Siwan Clashes and Disciplinary Action
The controversy traces back to Saturday in Siwan, where a massive student demonstration turned chaotic amid protests over a NEET examination paper leak. A video capturing a law enforcement officer utilizing an AK-47 rifle rapidly circulated across social media platforms, triggering widespread outrage. While Siwan Superintendent of Police (SP) Puran Kumar Jha stated that no individuals sustained injuries from that specific firing, separate clashes during the unrest resulted in three students being wounded by gunfire and roughly 30 police personnel, including the SP, suffering injuries. Authorities responded by suspending the erring personnel and temporarily suspending local internet services. The issue has now escalated directly into the national legislature.
