Built on a foundation of mutual trust, shared values, and non-violence, this friendship continues to grow stronger. Tusk proudly added that he considers it an honor to call Prime Minister Modi his personal friend.
Strengthening The Strategic Partnership
The Polish Prime Minister termed the discussions on advancing bilateral strategic partnership as crucial and fruitful. This strategic framework was officially established during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Warsaw in August 2024. Tusk stated that he reviewed the initial outcomes of this partnership with Prime Minister Modi and laid down core priorities for cooperation in the years ahead.
Economic Ties As The Foundation
Tusk underscored that robust economic relations and trade ties form the bedrock of the India-Poland partnership. To bolster this, business representatives and corporate leaders from both countries are holding dedicated meetings during his ongoing visit. The Polish delegation includes representatives from major enterprises and business partnerships, marking it the largest such delegation in the history of bilateral relations as both nations explore new trade and investment opportunities.
Cooperation Ranging From Mining To Space Technology
The two nations have chalked out ambitious plans to expand collaboration across multiple sectors. Traditional industries such as mining, coal-to-gas conversion technology, shipyards, and shipbuilding are key areas of focus. Additionally, both countries aim to enhance cooperation in space exploration, digital technology, satellite systems, and advanced defense equipment. Emphasizing the significance of drone and satellite technology, Tusk noted that drones have proven exceptionally useful recently, expressing pride in the technological partnership that assists nations during political tensions and crises.
Mutual Support On International Platforms
Tusk expressed firm confidence that India and Poland will continue to support each other on multilateral platforms, including major forums like the G20. He asserted that mutual cooperation will not only benefit both countries internally but also advance broader global interests. Notably, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is on an official visit to India from October 21 to 23 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at building upon the strategic partnership established in 2024.
