A severe electrical accident shook Beharam ka Bas village in the Bansur area of Alwar district, where an 11,000-volt current suddenly surged directly into residential homes. The dangerous mishap left four members of a single family injured, triggering widespread anger and concern among local residents over power infrastructure safety.
How the Fault Occurred and Extent of Damage
According to local accounts, the incident unfolded late at night when the high-tension current rushed into household circuits. Villagers explained that an LT line wire had fallen directly onto the 11,000-volt power transmission line, creating a massive surge. This strong current destroyed numerous electrical appliances inside the houses and caught the family members unawares. Among the four injured victims, the condition of Kamla Devi has been reported as critical.
Outrage Among Villagers and Road Blockade
The accident immediately provoked massive public anger across the village. A large crowd of residents gathered on the streets, blocking the Rampur road and launching a strong protest against the electricity corporation. The protesting locals alleged that the ongoing mishaps are a direct result of the authorities failing to conduct timely inspections and proper maintenance of aging power lines in the region.
Demands for Action and Disruption of Traffic
The sudden road blockade brought local traffic to a complete standstill, leaving commuters and motorists stranded and facing significant inconvenience. The villagers demanded strict administrative action against the responsible officials and staff members. Furthermore, they insisted on a comprehensive safety check of all power distribution lines and an urgent overhaul of the local electricity supply network to prevent any future tragedies.
