The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation has introduced a new direct bus service operating between Jhunjhunu depot and Pokhran to enhance travel convenience for regular passengers and pilgrims across the state. This initiative establishes direct road connectivity between the Shekhawati and Marwar regions, addressing a persistent demand from local residents and travellers who previously lacked an unbroken transit option across this corridor.
Route Details and Operating Schedule from Pokhran to Jhunjhunu
According to official details shared by the transport department, the departure and arrival timings have been structured to minimize travel duration and maximize passenger comfort. The bus begins its journey daily at 8:00 AM from Pokhran. After departing Pokhran, the vehicle heads directly toward Ramdevra, the well-known pilgrimage center dedicated to Baba Ramdev.
Continuing along its designated route, the service passes through the transit towns of Phalodi, Nokha, and Fatehpur before arriving at the renowned Shekhawati pilgrimage destination of Salasar Balaji. The arrival time at Salasar has been scheduled for approximately 5:30 PM in the evening. Following a scheduled halt at Salasar, the bus resumes its run toward its final stop, reaching Jhunjhunu depot at 8:15 PM at night. The service provides passengers with a secure and comfortable journey throughout the route.
Direct Pilgrimage Link Between Ramdevra and Salasar
Religious tourism constitutes a major travel segment within Rajasthan, and this new route links two of the most significant devotional hubs in the state. Ramdevra Dham in Marwar attracts millions of devotees each year who visit to seek blessings at the shrine of Baba Ramdevji, while Salasar Dham in Shekhawati draws equally large crowds of pilgrims arriving to offer prayers to Balaji.
Before the launch of this service, devotees moving between these two centers had to change buses multiple times along the way. With this direct connection now operational, devotees can complete the entire journey between Salasar, Ramdevra, and Pokhran without transferring vehicles, avoiding transit delays and unnecessary physical exhaustion.
Strengthening Regional Transit for Commuters, Traders, and Students
In addition to catering to spiritual tourism, the route enhances inter-district transit for everyday commuters across Pokhran, Ramdevra, Salasar, and Jhunjhunu. Regular passengers, business owners, and students travelling to and from intermediate centers such as Phalodi, Nokha, and Fatehpur stand to gain direct access across both regions.
Previously, changing multiple transit vehicles at intermediate stops consumed excessive time and turned journeys into tedious affairs. By streamlining regional mobility, the direct state transport service eases daily business logistics and passenger transit, drawing widespread appreciation from local communities along the route.
