A severe road collision occurred near Nanakpura in the Mandal area of Rajasthan's Bhilwara district, where two commercial trucks crashed heavily into each other. The impact immediately triggered a massive fire in one of the vehicles, with flames spreading rapidly across the structure. The burning truck was transporting crates of liquor, and the intensity of the blaze trapped both the driver and the helper inside the driver cabin.
Immediate Rescue from the Burning Vehicle
Constable Devendra Singh from the Nanakpura police post alongside 108 ambulance pilot Prabhu Prajapat acted without delay upon witnessing the crisis. Disregarding their own safety, they approached the flame-engulfed truck and managed to pull out the trapped driver, Siyaram, and his helper, Kishan, both residents of Kotputli. Following their extraction from the burning wreckage, both individuals were immediately transported via highway ambulance to Mahatma Gandhi District Hospital in Bhilwara, where they were admitted for medical treatment.
Firefighters Extinguish Blaze as Highway Faces 3-Kilometer Gridlock
Emergency fire tenders rushed to the location shortly after receiving alerts about the crash and worked to bring the raging flames under control. The collision and subsequent firefighting operations completely halted regional movement, creating a 3-kilometer traffic jam along the highway. Constable Ram Prasad Kumawat stepped in to manage the vehicular movement, clearing lanes and restoring standard traffic flow. The rapid coordination among the police personnel, ambulance operators, and firefighters prevented severe casualties and contained the hazard on the highway.
