Marking a significant milestone in national pageantry, Jaipur resident Niharika Rathore has officially stepped onto the global stage after being named The Miss Globe India. The prestigious title was conferred upon her by the national pageant Miss Fusion India following the stepping down of former winner Aditi Bhatnagar. Under standard pageant regulations, the first runner-up assumes the national title and the associated global responsibilities, paving the way for her historic international journey.
Global Stage in Phuket and Intense Preparation
With the national crown secured, the 22-year-old is set to represent India at the international beauty pageant The Miss Globe, scheduled to take place from October 24 to November 6, 2026, in Phuket, Thailand. Pageant organizers have highlighted that she is the very first contestant from Rajasthan to ever reach The Miss Globe competition, an achievement expected to offer immense motivation to aspiring models and young women across the state.
Facing seasoned competitors from across the globe, Niharika is currently refining key performance areas, including stage presence, communication abilities, and personality development. In Jaipur, dedicated fashion designers are designing her exclusive wardrobe, crafting specialized ensembles for the costume presentation and the formal gown rounds. India previously won the coveted crown back in 2016 when Dimple Chetan Patel won the title, and national attention is now focused on whether Jaipur's own contender can repeat that historic feat.
Overcoming Physical Injury and Path to the Top
Her progression to the international arena was shaped by determination and perseverance through adversity. Early in her modeling career, she participated in the Miss Rajasthan contest, where a severe foot injury hindered her performance and prevented her from taking home the state crown. Refusing to let the physical setback derail her ambitions, she persisted with her training and later entered Miss Fusion India, where her strong showing earned her the first runner-up position that ultimately opened the door to the global stage.
Academic Pursuits, Civil Services Prep, and Family Support
Alongside her achievements in fashion and pageantry, Niharika remains dedicated to her education. She is currently enrolled as a first-year LLB student at Jaipur National University, effectively balancing demanding academic requirements with professional modeling commitments. Prior to pursuing legal studies, she also spent two years preparing rigorously for the UPSC examinations.
Her trajectory shifted decisively toward the fashion industry after reaching the Miss Rajasthan finalist stage, where her passion for pageantry was solidified. She credits her progress to the steady backing of her family; her father, Ajeet Singh Rathore, works in the property business, while her mother, Meenakshi Rathore, is a homemaker whose encouragement helped guide her daughter to the pinnacle of global representation.
