A remarkable demonstration of technological innovation from rural Rajasthan has emerged as Babloo Janwa, a first-year B.Tech Computer Science student at Madhav University in Sirohi district, successfully designed an advanced library automation robot. Hailing from the small village of Khod in Pali district, the student created a system capable of managing an entire library independently. The autonomous machine handles routine maintenance, digital cataloging, and precise book delivery to readers without requiring any human intervention.
Detailed Research and Development Process
Bringing this robotic concept to fruition was a rigorous process for Janwa. Before commencing the physical and software assembly, he conducted an in-depth analysis of the practical challenges and operational bottlenecks faced by library administrators daily. Following this assessment, a complete structural design was formulated. To achieve seamless synchronization between the hardware components and the custom software, Janwa spent months conducting intense research. Through non-stop effort and multiple testing iterations, the automated prototype was finally completed with high precision.
Digital Cataloging and Automated Book Retrieval
The robot engineered by Janwa automates key tasks involved in modern library management. One of its core functions includes recording and updating the precise shelf locations and classification details of thousands of books inside a secure digital database. When a reader requests a specific title, the robot navigates autonomously to the exact shelf, identifies the volume, and retrieves it directly for the user.
