Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived to distribute relief to flood victims, launched a fierce attack on the opposition from the soil of Farrukhabad. Along with addressing issues related to relief camps, farmers, and youth, CM Yogi targeted the Samajwadi Party, stating that previously a few people held a monopoly over jobs and the outsourcing system in the state, but the government has now implemented a new system to put an end to it.
During an event held at the Fatehgarh Police Line Ground, the Chief Minister distributed relief kits to about 1000 flood-affected people. These kits included 26 types of essential items. Financial assistance checks were also handed over from the stage to people who lost their homes and land in the Ganga floods. During this time, the Chief Minister also took a selfie with Karan Kashyap, a high school student affected by the floods.
Relief Material Being Delivered to Flood Victims
The Chief Minister stated that the government is continuously working to help flood victims. Relief materials are being sent to houses where water has entered. He shared that essential food items including flour, rice, potatoes, gram, and oil are being provided in the relief kits. To ensure that children's studies are not disrupted in the relief camps, teachers have also been deployed.
Mentioning the Outsourcing Service Corporation, Yogi targeted the Samajwadi Party. He said that previously, employees' interests were compromised through outsourcing agencies. According to the CM, under the new system, employees will be provided better salaries along with facilities like EPF and ESI. He claimed that the government has worked to organize the system for 3.52 lakh personnel.
Employment Opportunities and Direct Assistance to Farmers
Regarding employment for youth, the Chief Minister said that jobs are now being distributed without any discrimination in the state. He claimed that investment proposals worth 50 lakh crore rupees have been received in Uttar Pradesh, which will create new employment opportunities. Yogi stated that no one will be allowed to play with the future of the youth.
Speaking about farmers, the Chief Minister said that Farrukhabad is a major center for potato production. Farmers who suffered losses will be surveyed, and financial assistance will be provided directly into their bank accounts. He also assured assistance regarding potatoes kept in cold storage. Additionally, he mentioned increasing the sugarcane price to 400 rupees per क्विंटल and the arrangement for maize procurement.
Improving Connectivity and Infrastructure Development
On the connectivity of Farrukhabad, Yogi said that the proposed link expressway will connect the district to the Ganga and Bundelkhand expressways. He remarked jokingly that after this, Farrukhabad will no longer have any complaints about not being connected to an expressway. The CM also spoke about providing scooties to 50 thousand final-year undergraduate girl students under the Rani Lakshmibai Scooty Scheme. Furthermore, he assured fast-paced work on the demand for constructing embankments along the Ganga river to save the district from recurring annual floods.
