Authorities in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh have successfully dismantled a large-scale illegal sex trade operation. The raid took place in the Indirapuram area, specifically within a commercial complex located in Sector 4 of Vaishali, where illicit activities were reportedly being conducted behind closed doors on the third floor of the building.
Details of the Police Operation
Acting on specific intelligence provided by a local informant, police teams reached the site on Saturday evening. Under the leadership of ACP Suryabali, the Kaushambi police station team conducted a swift raid that resulted in the rescue of 23 women who were allegedly being forced into the trade. During the search of the premises, officials also apprehended 5 customers and 1 employee who were found at the location. Various incriminating items and materials were recovered from the site and have been taken into police custody as evidence.
Current Status of Investigation
A formal case has been registered at the Kaushambi police station under relevant sections of the law. Officials noted that the syndicate had been operating with impunity inside the commercial structure before the police action disrupted their activities. Currently, the investigation is ongoing as authorities conduct further questioning of the arrested individuals to trace the larger network behind this illegal enterprise. Law enforcement agencies are pursuing further legal actions as the inquiry deepens to ensure all individuals involved in organizing the racket are held accountable.
