A specialized initiative has been launched in Saharanpur to empower local farmers and rural youth by helping them establish self-employment opportunities directly within their villages. The Punjab National Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (PNB RSETI), located at Matki Jharauli, is organizing a 15-day free Agricultural Entrepreneurship Training program set to commence on August 18. This initiative aims to equip rural residents with practical skills in various agribusiness sectors, enabling them to boost their income and eliminate reliance on urban migration for employment.
Key Agri-Businesses and Modern Farming Techniques Covered
According to Amit Chaubey from PNB RSETI, the training program encompasses a comprehensive range of agricultural and allied business domains. Participants will receive hands-on instruction in poultry farming, goat rearing, pig farming, fish farming, and general animal husbandry. Furthermore, the curriculum covers dairy farming, processing milk into value-added products, cultivation of medicinal plants, polyhouse farming, and mushroom production, alongside modern agricultural practices designed to maximize productivity and profitability.
Free Amenities and Seat Availability
The entire 15-day training module is being offered free of cost to eligible candidates. To ensure full accessibility, the institute will provide complimentary meals, lodging for overnight stays, and uniforms to all enrolled participants. Admissions are strictly managed on a first-come, first-served basis, with total enrollment capped at the first 30 accepted applications. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to secure their place in the upcoming batch.
Eligibility Criteria, Financial Support, and How to Apply
To qualify for the program, applicants must be permanent residents of Saharanpur district and fall within the age group of 18 to 49 years. Beyond skill development, the initiative connects trained individuals with financial resources to help start their ventures. Participants can access loan facilities for various enterprise categories under the CM Yuva Yojana to launch their local agri-businesses.
Applications can be submitted through both offline and online channels. For offline registration, candidates can visit the PNB RSETI institute located at Matki Jharauli on Behat Road, Saharanpur. Alternatively, applicants can apply online by sending a WhatsApp message containing their full name, mobile number, and village name to 7017260488.
