Police officers reached the spot shortly after being alerted, taking the accused father into custody and recovering the weapon used during the fatal assault.
Father Arrived Home Heavily Intoxicated
The crime occurred in Kaithi town within the Karchhana jurisdiction. Local resident Raghunandan Dwivedi returned to his residence under the heavy influence of country liquor. At the time, his elder son, Abhishek, was sitting inside the house operating his mobile phone. Seeing Abhishek engaged with his handset rather than focusing on his studies, an enraged Raghunandan scolded him, questioning why he was not studying. This confrontation quickly deteriorated into a bitter verbal clash between the two.
Fatal Attack With Knife and Wooden Object
As tempers flared, the altercation took a violent turn. Raghunandan picked up a knife that was kept nearby and lunged at his son. Abhishek suffered severe puncture wounds, collapsed onto the floor, and began writhing in agony.
