A shocking and gruesome crime has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur district, where a personal dispute driven by illicit relations culminated in a brutal murder. A farm worker, enraged over an affair between his employer and his wife, conspired with the victim's own girlfriend and her brother to execute the deadly plan. Local authorities have successfully solved the blind murder case, arresting two of the key co-conspirators while an intensive manhunt is currently underway to capture the main fugitive.
A Gruesome Plot Executed After a Party
The horrific incident took place on July 25, and police officially cracked the case on Tuesday afternoon at around 3:30 PM within the jurisdiction of the Khairabad police station area. The main suspect, Rajesh alias Rajkumar, worked at a tube-well owned by the victim, 42-year-old Bhupai Yadav, a resident of Bahunagar. According to investigators, Rajkumar lured Bhupai to a secluded spot under the pretext of having a party, during which the victim was heavily plied with alcohol. Once intoxicated, the conspirators dragged him into the fields, assaulted him severely, and severed his head using a sharp sickle known as a banka. To conceal the victim's identity, the perpetrators buried the severed head in a pit dug roughly 200 meters away from the actual crime scene, while discarding the blood-stained clothes and the murder weapon in nearby bushes.
Unraveling the Motive Behind the Affair
The genesis of this bloody feud lies in tangled personal relationships. Bhupai Yadav was romantically involved with Rajkumar's wife. Upon learning of this affair, Rajkumar initially tried to counsel his wife, sternly asking her to distance herself from Bhupai, which led to domestic disputes between the couple. Subsequently, Rajkumar confronted Bhupai directly. Rather than backing down, Bhupai openly confessed to the affair, declaring unashamedly that he loved Rajkumar's wife and that she reciprocated his feelings. This brazen admission pushed Rajkumar over the edge, fueling a deep-seated desire for lethal vengeance.
Enlisting Accomplices With Money and Grievances
Consumed by anger, Rajkumar devised a meticulous plan to eliminate his employer. He approached Shashi Devi, who was Bhupai's current girlfriend, and disclosed the entire scheme to her. Shashi agreed to join the conspiracy because she had grown resentful, suspecting that Bhupai was betraying her as well. To solidify the alliance, Rajkumar handed over 50,000 rupees in cash to Shashi and successfully roped in her brother, Rinku, as an active accomplice in the murder plot.
Following the arrests, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Southern Durgesh Singh stated that law enforcement teams recovered the severed head, the weapon, and blood-soaked garments based on disclosures made by the detained suspects. Interrogation also revealed a dark past: back in 2014, both Shashi Devi and the deceased Bhupai Yadav were implicated in the murder of Shashi's husband, Govind Kumar. A formal case had been registered at the Bakshi Ka Talab police station in Lucknow. While Shashi had managed to secure bail previously, Bhupai had been released from legal custody only two years ago. ASP Durgesh Singh confirmed that strict legal action is being pursued against the arrested individuals, and multiple police teams are conducting relentless raids to apprehend the absconding mastermind, Rajesh.
