A shocking incident has emerged from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, where a man put his life at risk in a desperate attempt to gain fame on social media. 42-year-old Salim, a resident of Shadipur village under the Nahtaur police station area, attempted to perform a stunt involving a dead snake, which resulted in a medical emergency. Shortly after putting the carcass into his mouth, his condition deteriorated rapidly and he began foaming at the mouth.
The Stunt and Resulting Danger
On Thursday evening, a snake entered Salim's home, which he managed to kill. Driven by the desire to create a viral video, he decided to perform a dangerous act with the dead reptile. According to eyewitnesses, Salim picked up the carcass and repeatedly inserted it into his mouth and pulled it out. Despite warnings from neighbors and onlookers who urged him to stop, he refused to listen and continued with the hazardous behavior.
Superstition Over Medical Aid
Within minutes, Salim started experiencing intense weakness, anxiety, and extreme discomfort. Even in such a critical state, his family members fell into the trap of superstition instead of seeking immediate medical intervention. Rather than rushing him to a hospital, they initially relied on local exorcists or faith healers for ritualistic treatments. A significant amount of time was wasted in these attempts, during which Salim’s condition showed no signs of improvement.
Emergency Hospitalization
When Salim eventually began to lose consciousness, his family finally realized the severity of the situation and rushed him to the Nahtaur Community Health Center. After providing initial treatment, the doctors determined that his condition was too critical to manage locally and urgently referred him to a higher medical center. Salim is currently undergoing treatment at the higher center, where medical staff are keeping a close watch on his health. This incident highlights the dangerous consequences of blind faith and the reckless obsession with social media content creation.
