Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has embarked on a three-day outreach journey across the Rohru and Rampur regions, beginning October 1. Designed to bridge the distance between administrative corridors and grassroots communities, this tour extends far beyond formal official ceremonies. The head of the state government will travel into remote mountain villages to spend nights among local residents, share traditional meals, listen closely to everyday community grievances, and maintain unmediated communication. The entire journey is structured under the administration's Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar outreach initiative.
Foundation Laying and Inaugurations Across Rohru and Rampur
Between October 1 and October 3, the administrative itinerary across the Rohru and Rampur assembly constituencies incorporates multiple foundation stones and inaugurations for local civic infrastructure projects. Alongside scheduled public addresses and town-hall meetings, the agenda dedicates significant time to discussions with active grassroots groups, notably women's collectives, youth boards, and local elders. Addressing community welfare, the Chief Minister will also meet with students at regional educational institutions and lead public demonstrations against substance abuse by participating in dedicated anti-chitta rallies.
Opening Day Engagements and Overnight Halt in Bhatwari
The outreach commences on October 1 as the Chief Minister flies by helicopter from Shimla to Rohru. His primary engagement takes place at the PM Shri Senior Secondary School Rohru, where he will engage in an interactive session with students before flagging off and joining an anti-chitta awareness rally. Moving onward to Chirgaon, the schedule features the formal launch and foundation laying of several regional development schemes, followed by a public meeting. After a brief midday pause at the electricity board rest house in Sandasu, the Chief Minister travels to the village of Bhatwari under the Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar banner. In Bhatwari, he will converse directly with villagers, members of the youth club, and women's associations, completing the day with an overnight stay in the village itself.
Honouring National Leaders and Traveling to Kashapat
On October 2, the itinerary opens in Bhatwari with floral tributes commemorating the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. From there, the Chief Minister returns to Rohru before boarding a flight to the Shingla helipad in Rampur. At Shingla, he will inaugurate and dedicate civic development projects while holding dialogues with the public. Following a short operational pause at Taklech, the delegation advances deeper into the rugged and isolated pocket of Kashapat. At the Kasha bus stand, community interactions will proceed with local villagers, youth groups, and women's committees, culminating in an overnight village halt in Paat.
Final Address in Nogli and Conclusion in Rampur
The concluding day of the tour on October 3 sees the Chief Minister leave Paat village to reach Nogli, where a broad public assembly will gather. The journey then moves to the Padam Model Senior Secondary School in Rampur for an in-depth conversation with students regarding youth aspirations and community challenges. To reinforce state efforts against drug trafficking, he will flag off and march alongside participants in an anti-chitta rally. Following the conclusion of this youth-focused campaign, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will depart Rampur to return to Shimla.
