Tension gripped Sun Hospital in the Kumhrar locality of Bihar's capital, Patna, on Tuesday when a young staff member was discovered hanging within the medical facility premises. The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Raju, a native of Katihar district who had been employed as a ward boy at the facility. The sudden discovery of his body created chaos across the building, leaving the management, medical staff, and other hospital employees in deep shock.
Police Arrive at Scene and Dispatch Body for Autopsy
Immediately following the discovery inside the hospital compound, the local police were alerted to the incident. A team from the Agamkuan police station promptly arrived at the premises to secure the location and inspect the surroundings. Law enforcement officials took custody of the body and subsequently transferred it to Nalanda Medical College for a post-mortem examination, which is expected to yield crucial medical findings regarding the exact nature and timing of death.
Circumstances Surrounding the Fatality Remain Unclear
The precise factors leading to the death of the 22-year-old worker remain unresolved. Treating the case as suspicious in its preliminary phase, investigators are actively examining multiple angles. Officers are working to determine whether the youth took his own life or if there were other underlying causes behind his demise. Official authorities maintain that drawing firm conclusions before completing a thorough forensic and procedural inquiry would be premature.
Staff Interrogations and CCTV Surveillance Under Review
To reconstruct the sequence of events, police personnel are questioning colleagues and fellow hospital staffers who were present during the relevant shifts. Additionally, surveillance footage captured by closed-circuit television cameras installed across the hospital is being scrutinized for vital visual leads. Sub-Inspector Deepak Kumar of the Agamkuan police station confirmed that the inquiry is progressing through family interactions, hospital evidence, and the pending autopsy findings from Nalanda Medical College.
