Speculation surrounding Bollywood actor Yami Gautam and filmmaker Aditya Dhar making a permanent move away from Mumbai has been officially addressed. Over the past several days, widespread discussions suggested that the high-profile film couple was preparing to leave India's entertainment capital behind to establish their permanent residence in Himachal Pradesh. These claims frequently referenced the actor's ancestral roots and pointed to a historic local estate as the centerpiece of their alleged relocation plans. However, Dhar's official team has firmly denied these assertions, confirming that there is no truth to the ongoing talk.
The Relocation Rumours and Heritage Property Claims
The chatter gained momentum after multiple accounts alleged that Gautam and Dhar were planning to turn a century-old heritage house into their primary living base. Other versions of the story claimed that the couple had acquired 25 acres of land alongside a hundred-year-old heritage property situated in Gohar. Given Gautam's well-known family connection to Himachal Pradesh, the narrative quickly gained traction among fans and observers, who interpreted the estate claims as evidence of an imminent exit from Mumbai's film hub.
Direct Rebuttal from Aditya Dhar's Camp
Addressing the ongoing chatter, representatives connected to Aditya Dhar firmly pushed back against the relocation claims. The team unequivocally rejected the narrative, stating, 'No, this news is completely wrong... who is spreading this rumour?' Through this clear response, the filmmaker's office put an end to the assumptions, reiterating that neither Dhar nor Gautam harbors any intention of leaving Mumbai or shifting their permanent household to the northern hill state.
A Period of Major Creative and Professional Milestones
Beyond the personal life rumours, both creatives are currently navigating an extraordinarily successful phase in their cinematic journeys. Aditya Dhar recently captured industry attention with the unprecedented commercial achievements of his back-to-back releases, Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Premiering just three months apart, the two blockbuster titles collectively grossed more than Rs 3,000 crore at the worldwide box office.
Their work has also received significant critical and institutional recognition on the national stage. On September 22 this year, during the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony hosted in Gujarat, the couple achieved a double milestone for their film Article 370. Gautam was honoured with the National Award for Best Actress, while Dhar received the National Award for Best Feature Film in his capacity as producer. Looking ahead, Gautam is actively involved in promotional campaigns for her next theatrical venture, Nayi Naveli, which is scheduled to hit cinema screens on October 16.
