Administrations are rolling out special initiatives in rural areas of Bahraich to empower unemployed youth and farmers, offering robust self-employment opportunities under the Business on Wheel scheme. Through this program, young villagers can leverage agricultural machinery and vehicles to launch independent business ventures right within their communities. Industries official Keshav Ram Verma detailed that aspiring young entrepreneurs are being provided with various modern agricultural and food processing units, with the tractor-driven flour mill standing out as a primary attraction.
Operating Flour Mills and Other Machinery
The initiative enables rural youth to easily kick off flour milling operations, either by traveling from village to village or by setting up a fixed operational base. Beyond the flour mill, the scheme encompasses tractor-driven rice mills, tractor-driven oil mills, and tractors paired with trolleys. By acquiring any of these four types of equipment and vehicles, young individuals in rural regions can establish solid, independent businesses. Authorities continue to promote welfare schemes across rural territories to ensure that youth and job seekers actively integrate into the national economy and contribute to overall development.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
Specific eligibility guidelines have been established for individuals seeking to apply for the scheme. Applicants must fall within the age bracket of 21 to 40 years. In addition, candidates are required to have a minimum educational qualification of passing the 8th grade. The criteria also specify that the applicant must not be a defaulter with any financial institution or bank. Furthermore, candidates must not have previously availed of subsidies under any other government scheme. Rural entrepreneurs who fulfill these conditions can leverage the program to secure subsidies and employment opportunities.
