Panic struck Nagpur's Wathoda locality late at night when two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on the residence of Congress corporator Shubham Motghare. Corporator Shubham Motghare and his entire family were present inside the house during the time of the shooting. Fortunately, no family members sustained any physical injuries, although bullets shattered a windowpane and caused minor property damage.
Horrifying Shooting Incident Recorded on CCTV
The entire attack was captured by the security camera mounted outside the house. The CCTV footage depicts two unknown individuals riding a motorcycle down the street. One of the suspects pulled out a firearm and fired directly at the residence while the bike was still in motion, after which both attackers sped away from the scene. The sudden gunfire triggered widespread panic among local residents in the neighborhood.
Senior Police Officials and Local MLA Reach the Spot
Upon receiving information about the shooting, senior law enforcement authorities rushed to the scene to assess the situation. Local MLA Vikas Thakre, along with the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), and several other high-ranking officers, inspected the location. Police forces immediately cordoned off the area to gather forensic evidence and collected CCTV footage from neighboring surveillance cameras to trace the escape route of the suspects and launch an intensive manhunt.
