Jaipur police have successfully cracked two distinct murder cases that occurred in separate parts of the city, apprehending a total of four suspects. The first case pertains to the abduction and killing of a youth in the Tunga police station area, while the second case involves a body discovered near the Dhankya railway crossing, where an attempt was made to stage the homicide as a train collision. Rigorous investigation and surveillance enabled police teams across both jurisdictions to track down the suspects.
Abduction and Murder Over Financial Dispute in Tunga
The first incident occurred in the Tunga police station jurisdiction of Jaipur East, where a youth was killed on September 15. The underlying trigger for this crime turned out to be an ongoing monetary dispute. Driven by the financial discord, the assailants abducted the victim before taking his life. Following the murder, the suspects went into hiding, constantly shifting their shelters across various locations to evade law enforcement.
DCP East Ranjita Sharma (IPS) stated that dedicated police teams maintained continuous surveillance on the suspects' movements. The operation eventually led to the arrest of all three accused individuals, identified as Rohit Meena, Manish Meena, and Hiralal Meena. The Tunga police are currently interrogating the trio to piece together the sequence of events and recover relevant evidence linked to the kidnapping and murder.
Staged Train Accident Foiled at Dhankya Railway Crossing
The second homicide case surfaced in the Jaipur West district, falling under the jurisdiction of the Bindayaka police station. A youth's body was discovered lying near the Dhankya railway crossing under highly suspicious circumstances. The scene was deliberately manipulated to make the death resemble an accidental fatal impact from a passing train. However, rather than writing it off as an ordinary accident, investigating officers probed deeper into the suspicious anomalies surrounding the death.
The deceased was identified as Shravan Singh. As the investigation progressed, evidence pointed directly toward murder. Consequently, police tracked down and arrested Bhavani Singh, a resident of Khetri. According to the police, Bhavani Singh murdered Shravan Singh and deliberately placed his body on the tracks to masquerade the violent act as an unfortunate railway accident, attempting to mislead investigators.
Illicit Relations Under Scanner as Police Continue Interrogation
Providing details regarding the Dhankya case, DCP West Prashant Kiran stated that the Bindayaka police are thoroughly interrogating Bhavani Singh. Preliminary findings during the inquiry revealed that the accused had an illicit relationship with Shravan Singh's wife. Investigators are actively pursuing this motive alongside other corroborated facts to build a comprehensive charge sheet against the suspect.
These two resolved cases highlight completely distinct motives and modi operandi across the city. While the Tunga incident stemmed strictly from financial disputes and cash transactions culminating in kidnapping and murder, the Dhankya railway incident involved illicit relations and an attempt to disguise a homicide as a railway mishap. Police in both districts are proceeding with custodial interrogation to finalize their formal prosecution.
