A shocking incident has emerged from the Shahbad Dairy area of Delhi, where the body of a 22-year-old woman was recovered under suspicious circumstances from the bathroom of a house in Prahladpur Bangar village. The deceased has been identified as Sabila Khatun, and local authorities received information regarding the incident on August 29, 2026. Ever since this grim discovery came to light, the deceased woman's husband and their young child have been missing from the residence, prompting law enforcement teams to launch extensive searches to track them down.
Brother Discovers Sister's Body in the Bathroom
According to available details, the victim Sabila Khatun was married to Mohammad Lalbabu about two years ago, and the couple resided together in Prahladpur Bangar. The case came to the forefront when the victim's brother and the complainant in the matter, Mohammad Gulab, arrived at his sister's house and made the tragic discovery. Upon entering the premises, he found that Sabila lay lifeless inside the household bathroom.
Husband and Child Missing From the Scene
At the time Mohammad Gulab reached his sister's home and witnessed the harrowing scene, her husband Mohammad Lalbabu and their child were nowhere to be found. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Delhi Police promptly took custody of the body and transferred it to the BSA Hospital mortuary to be safely preserved for a post-mortem examination.
Police Form Teams to Track Down the Absconding Husband
In connection with this case, the Delhi Police have registered an FIR bearing number 561/26 at the Shahbad Dairy police station under section 103(1) of the BNS and section 302 of the IPC pertaining to murder. Concurrently, specialized police teams are conducting continuous raids to apprehend the absconding husband, and further investigations into the matter are actively underway.
Authorities Investigating the Case From Multiple Angles
Law enforcement officials have stated that rigorous efforts are underway to trace the accused husband. The suspicious death of Sabila Khatun is being thoroughly examined from various angles to uncover the truth. Authorities emphasized that whoever is found guilty will not be spared and will face stringent punishment under the law. In a similar vein of recent crimes, the Delhi Police previously solved the Kalindi Kunj murder case, where a father turned out to be the killer of his own son, executing the crime with an accomplice after a body was recovered from an abandoned container near an unpaved colony in Kalindi Kunj on August 23.
